When bending polyamide (nylon) frames, you need a heat source that softens the material in a controlled, removable way so you can shape it without scorching or warping. A hot air blower provides that control: you can direct warm air evenly across the frame, adjust the temperature as you go, and bend gradually while the nylon becomes pliable. This minimizes the risk of melting or leaving heat-induced marks, and it lets you achieve accurate shaping without compromising frame integrity.

A salt pan isn’t a practical or safe method for eyewear; it involves molten material and unpredictable heat distribution that could damage the frame. A DBL isn’t a heater at all, and frame PD refers to a measurement, not a device for heating. So the hot air blower is the appropriate warmer for bending polyamide frames.
